Re-Cycles
1 World Trading Co. is pleased to announce the launch of
Re-Cycles Bicycles Unlimited. Recycled, refurbished and re-invented
relaxed retro rides radically reducing reliance upon reprocessed
rotting Rexs'. Or in other words, a cool line of refurbished commuter
bicycles designed to help reduce the use of a car for short trips
around town. I have collected Raleighs, Schwinns and Columbia's all
with swooped back bars, cushy springer saddles, fenders and racks.
We have two basic models:
is a 3 speed model with the old internal rear hub and chain guard.
- Peace, Love and Harmony
is a lean single speed version of the classic citybike.
- 1 World-1 Gear
These bikes, have all
been cleaned up with fresh rubber, grease etc...most still wear their
original paint & stickers and lots of chrome. The chains on the old
sturmey-archer 3 speeds with internal gearing don't
move around, so they have chainguards. The single speeds were once
chunky 10 speeds with friction shifters up on the stem, and lots of
heavy components not really necessary to the ride. Having been
subjected to a strict diet eliminating as much iron as possible, the
leaner, faster and simpler bikes will put a smile on your face.
